The doctor told me

That jealousy was a curse A curse of what

I'II never know

Because that is all she said

The doctor told me

I had hate in my heart A hate to kill

A hate to love

But that is all she said

The doctor told me

I should be fine

Jealousy was a normal issue

During this time of my life

Again, that is all she said

The doctor told me

I shouldn't feel bad

It can conquer your soul

Like music from a band

And that is all she said

The doctor told me

To think about what she said

To think about what the next day may bring

For my disease of jealousy

Do you want to know what I said?

Jealousy is a drug

That can create an overdose

Jealousy is a crime

That can live with you forever

But jealousy is not a disease or a curse

Jealousy is not evil

Jealousy will be jealousy

A form of hate

That can be taken too far

But holding it in

Would be stupid

If jealousy is my fate

Then so be it

But if killing a man is my fate

I'II live with it for the rest of my life

But that is all I said

I left the room

With a new boundary in my heart

And in my head

Was what the doctor had said

Too bad it was too late

Because my jealousy was dead
